Who doesn’t remember Meccano as a child? If though I had more lego than anything else, I remember playing with Mecanno and having great fun with it. I made some really weird machines that probably would never be replicated again, even if the world existed for a few more millenia.
Now Mecanno have come up with a new range of the educational toy with the Mecanno 50 Set which has enough bits and bobs to keep your child quiet for ages. In fact, they’re suppose to be able to make 50 different machines with all the different pieces of metal, tyres, plates, bolts and other pieces of metal.
In fact, within the Mecanno set you’ll get:
• One Meccano Best of 50 Set box
• Contains 605 shiny steel girders, plates, nuts, bolts and wheels
• Supplied with one 6V motor
• Power tool for construction included
• Detailed assembly instructions for 20 models
• Suggested designs for 30 models
• One model built at a time
• Supplied in an attractive box
• Suitable for 8 years of age and up
• Size: Meccano Best of 50 Set (box) H 40.0cm x W 40.0cm x D 9.0cm
And you’ll also need 6 AA batteries for the various motors and power tools.
I hope they build something better with their Meccano than this:
You can get it from Hamleys or from these other shops:
